We are pleased to offer a NEW 4-week Summer Course:
Math Problem Solving & Discovery
This course has been designed specifically to appeal to creative High School students who are more “artsy types” or who may feel that they just aren’t a “Math person”. We will also challenge strong students who already love Math to go beyond the curriculum and standard approaches. Our goal is for students to see Math as a problem-solving tool and as a logical extension of a person’s natural thinking.
This 4-week program is delivered online in weekly, 90-minute sessions led by an Ontario Certified Teacher. Sessions may be one-to-one or a small group. Students will be introduced to a host of Math puzzles and problems. Each session will end with the assignment of optional homework and reading for the week.
Students will discover a veritable mental toolbox of approaches and tricks to solving problems, mathematical and otherwise. Most importantly, the student will have a new appreciation not only of the beauty of Math, but of their own creative and logical potential.
