A history of caring

Tutoring Alliance began through a real personal need: to be heard, along with a deep desire to listen. When Executive Director, Angela Minaker’s children were young, she knew she needed help. After she found the assistance she needed for her own family, Angela recognized that she had been given a gift that needed to be passed on to others. Equipped with her experience both as a parent and within the educational system, she discovers and employs the best and brightest tutors around, matching them seamlessly with families who were once right where she was when she began.

What do we look for in tutors beyond the necessary safety measures?
