Online learning has necessitated parents taking on an even greater role in their child’s daily education, particularly for younger students. A variety of challenges, including time constraints, has many parents feeling overwhelmed. The addition of an Academic Coach to their educational support network is extremely helpful. Short or long-term support is available for all age levels, from Primary/Junior through University.
Older students benefit by being supported in organizational skills, time management, and effective study habits. Accountability is an enormous success indicator in this new learning environment where students are expected to learn largely independently. An Academic Coach not only supports subject knowledge, but also a student’s self-confidence and accountability.
Our Intermediate/High School/University Academic Coaches support:
- Organization Skills
- Time Management
- Accountability
- Self-Confidence
- Effective Study Strategies
Primary/Junior students benefit differently from an Academic Coach. The pattern of support shifts to keeping your child fully engaged and excited to learn. Although sometimes initially hesitant to add more screen time, parents have found that the additional support helps boost their child’s interest and learning. Personalized teaching allows for your child’s specific needs to be met, whether it be literacy, numeracy or addressing learning differences. A variety of teaching methods are used, including games-based learning.
Primary/Junior Academic Coaches provide:
- Individualized curriculum support
- An engaging and fun learning environment
- Support for learning differences*
*Special, targeted support for Learning Disabilities and ASD is also available.
